Happy Monday, friends! We had a busy weekend celebrating my twin sister’s upcoming wedding with an I Do BBQ ! It was a beautiful sunny day and we all agreed that this was one of our favorite themes for a party. ¬†A big thanks to my friend Carey for providing some of the decorations and the best Cake Pops!

The shower was for the bride and groom, their children and was a very family-friendly theme. We kept the menu seasonal and grilled all of the meats ahead of time, then kept them warm in crock pots. We were able to make or prep most of the food the night before, as well as decorate, so the day of the party was relaxed and enjoyable. We rented a cotton candy machine for a fun touch. Funny note: the last time we rented one was for our children’s Carnival Birthday party, which was in March, and let’s just say, we had cotton candy cobwebs for MONTHS! This time we kept the machine outdoors for loads of fun and sugar!

We also served a Smores bar that included different candy bars, marshmellows, graham crackers and my Mother-in-Law’s homemade chocolate chip cookies. Homemade strawberry cupcakes, chocolate fudge cupcakes, Cake Pops and a cheesecake finished off our sweet treats!

Drinks included water, soda, beer, wine and Arnold Palmers {ice tea+lemonade}.

And because we own our own candle business, a party would not be complete without custom soy candle party favors!

Personalized Kraft Bag for silverware and napkin

Inflatable cooler for drinks or buffet foods

As with all gatherings, it was a wonderful day to meet new family and celebrate with family and friends who have supported and loved Jen & Erik through the good times and bad.

And when you realize that your garage door makes a good backdrop, an impromptu photo shoot with cousins is a must!

We wish Jen and Erik and their 4 children lifetime of happiness, laughs and love!
